Ledbury2MonteCarlo

Four Canon Frome Cricket Club players are taking part in a mammoth cycle from Ledbury to Monte Carlo in April 2015. The cycle will be incredibly challenging, the route requires the cyclists to travel over 1200 miles in 13 days.

The reason behind this is to raise money for the Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) trust as well as to support the junior section of the club by raising enough money for electricity to be installed at the cricket ground. All donations will be split equally between supporting the club and the SMA trust.

You can follow us on Twitter and Facebook and by using the hashtag: #Ledbury2MonteCarlo

The quote for the electricity installation is £6,000, so we are looking to raise a total of £12,000. Of course, any corporate sponsors would be greatly welcomed, so please get in touch (, Facebook or Email)! We would be delighted to discuss sponsorship opportunities including advertising on our website, at the Canon Frome Cricket Club ground and sponsoring cyclists' jerseys.

The reason SMA was chosen was because one of the players grandparents has SMA. They come to watch every game and are very supportive of Canon Frome Cricket Club. They chose the Spinal Muscular Atrophy trust as the nominated charity for the cycle.

The cyclists confirmed are James Fortnam, Nicko Evans, his father Neil Stokes and Andy Lloyd.

"Everyone gets a bat down the Frome!"
