First XI vs. Worcester Dominies - 26 Jul - Frome suffer heavy loss

Canon Frome arrived with their strongest team of the season to top of the league Worcester Dominies.

Frome lost the toss and were in the field on a hot day and the new ball was flayed around by the openers who got off to a flying start. Sam Beale & Neil Andrews settled the scoring down and then Paul Andrews took over and kept the scroing down while Andy Rogers took 3 wickets in a 10 over spell to reduce the home side to 169-6. From there the home side got away and finished on 278-6.

Frome's reply got off to a solid start with Fortnam (15) & Beale (7) looking comfortable till Beale nicked one behind and Fortnam edged one to gully. Then a procession of loose shots from the middle order left From in disaray and the only consolation being a stand between Styler (26) & Badger (6*) at the end of the innings before they were bolwed out for 96.

Frome need to improve significantly if they hope to move up the table before the end of the season.
