Under 13 XI vs. Brockhampton - 25 Jun - Very close result from improving team: CCFC 121 - Brockhampton 124

In the opening match of the season, Brockhampton scored 120 and Canon Frome 52. This match was much closer!

Neither side was able to field a full team but Brockhampton batted first and scored a very respectable 124. There was some great bowling and fielding - with catches by Harry, Arthur and Dom. Many of their potential 4s reduced to singles by sharp work in the field.

When it came to batting Alex L and Eric H hit numerous fantastic boundaries. Alex retired at 32 then batted again and got a couple more 4s and a single.

Jamie, Tom and Marcus also managed to hit 4s and with a 4 and a wide in the last over, it came down to the wire on the last ball. On this occasion, it wasn't to be!

The U13s wish to thank Alec Backhouse for coaching advice & Luke Cotterell for umpiring and to Sally for scoring and bringing refreshments.

It was great to see Alex L able to play, hopefully not for the last time this season.
