Under 11 XI vs. Brockhampton - 08 Jun - Youngsters stuck to their task

CF U11 lost the coin toss for the second week and was put into bat by a strong Brockhampton side, who bowled hard and straight and despite bowling 23 wide’s, CF finished on 163 runs off their 20 overs.
The match result was never in doubt and our youngsters stuck to the task of trying to take as many Brock wickets as possible in a bid to stop their gloating. There were some notable bowling performances. Will W, on his CF hard ball debut. Ronan bowled three great over’s and finally Jamie H bowling 3 overs for only 9 runs. George H bagged the only wicket off the bat by getting his man caught at mid-on by Jamie H.
On a positive note CF only bowled 13 wide’s to Brocks 23 “a moral victory to us”.
