Second XI vs. Tenbury - 07 Jul - No toss & no win

This weeks brief report centre's on what was an appalling wicket to play cricket. The good news however is that it is going to be dug up at the end of September.

Having lost the toss ( no surprise here ) Canon Frome started well enough but on 27 lost our first wicket. Calvin came to the crease in determined mood and immediately made an impact straight driving a 4 off his 1st ball. Calvin was the only player to offer resistance as the poor, even dangerous wicket took its toll on Canon Frome's middle order batsmen. Sean pointed out that record was in the process of being set when the away team lost 4 wickets for no runs !! One to remember !

Having set Tenbury 69 to win early wickets from Cotterell (2) and Morgan (1) gave Frome some hope but with Thompson and Pearson build a stand of 49 the game was destined to last less than 20 overs.

Despite another loss the team continues to develop and the team spirit remains high.
