First XI vs. Hanley Castle & Upton - 02 Aug - Frome cruise to easy win!

Canon Frome arrived with another strong team against bottom of the league Hanley Castle.

Frome lost the toss and were in the field with Louis Watkins bowling superbly again without any reward and finishing with 2-21 of 12.3 overs. Sam Beale however bowled with more luck and took 4-45 off 13 overs. Morgan and Andrews also bowled tidily but Frome had let Hanley Castle escape from 31-6 t0 150 all out!

Frome started their reply with Sam Beale (5) going early quickly followed by Paul Andrews (15) missing a straight one to leave the classy and chanceless innings of James Fortnam (61*) to earn the victory for Frome with support from Rogers (59*) at the other end.

More now expected from a confident Frome side in the last 4 games of the season......
