First XI vs. Kidderminster Victoria - 10 Jul - Frome begin 2nd half of season wth much needed win!

Canon Frome got only their 2nd win of the season against 2nd in the table Kidderminster Victoria as the league turned round for the 2nd half of the season.

Frome won the toss and decided to bat with opener Jacob James back in the fold again scoring runs with a steady 60 with James Fortnam consistent again getting 36. From managed to accelerate with 15 overs to go as veteran Neil Andrews (48) and Andy Rogers (52) put on 100 in just over 10 overs getting Frome upto 266.

Frome's bowling came under scrutiny with the openers putting on 100 in just 18 overs with several bowlers being used until leg spinner Alec Backhouse began is 14 over spell. His 14 overs yielded 5-55 his best return in a Canon Frome shirt leaving Andy Lloyd to wobble out the tail with his medium pace at the end to bowl Kidderminster out for 234 as Frome begin what they hope is a climb up the table.
