First XI vs. Talgarth - 27 May - Canon Frome’s Scene from the Trenches

Once again the game at Canon Frome is called off due to excessive rain through the week.

The approach to the ground is difficult at the best of times through the string hinged gate, needed to stop the cows going over the cattle grid (yes, they are clever!) Now with the excessive rain you cannot get within 10 metres of the ground without knee length boots, hence we sent Mathew Richards to report on the ground!

The pitch from afar looked in good condition until you got close up with water sitting on the outfield and the square! Many things have been said in the last few days but one that hasn't been heard before is George admitting that there "might not be any chance of play this weekend"!

At this stage the 2nd team were still on so no doubt Neil Andrews will be available although it is in Builth Wells!!!
