Under 11 XI vs. Parkend - 19 Jun - U11 Lose at home to Parkend CFCC 216  Parkend 276

Both sides suffered from late arrivals and Canon Frome started the match in the field despite being one down and having to borrow a player from the opposition. Parkend's opening pair proved to be very good and got their innings off to a flying start, from which Canon Frome never really recovered.
Some high points for the side in the field were evidence of Ryan's improvement at wicket keeping, especially the sharp catch he took standing up to Henry. In Emma's second over she pitched the ball right up and in line with the wickets, pinning the opposition batsman on the back foot and bowling one of the only two maidens delivered by Canon Frome in the match. The fielding in general was also much improved with two run outs resulting from good returns from fielders in the deep, who on both occasions made the right choice of which end to throw to. Sam proved to be the pick of the bowlers going for only 4 runs off his two overs.
Some fast and accurate bowling from Parkend prevented any Canon Frome player from scoring freely with Sam hitting the only boundaries of the innings with the top score for the side of 8.

All the players should be congratulated for keeping going in the face of tough opposition.
