Under 13 XI vs. Apperley - 20 May - Won by 16 runs

An enthusiastic team of 8 turned up on a cold morning to start their delayed season. Thanks to all those who played especially Harry for responding to a late call and Alex for getting up early to travel back from the Cotswolds to play. Apperley lost the toss and were put in to bat.  Captain Toby in a devastating bowling spell took 4-11 off 3 overs with 3 clean bowled and one caught by John. Apperley scored 234 with  most of their players chipping in but the highest indvidual score of anyone being 8. Our bowling was more accurate than last year with less wides bowled.
In reply Canon Frome made 259 after only losing 2 wickets. Newcomer John made a very impressive match winning 27, including 5 fours, off 17 balls. Toby also batting well scored 14 with 3 fours.
