Canon Frome  U13 v. Apperley  U13  Match Report  10th June
Canon Frome CC U13 recorded their second win over Apperley CC in a close game. Apperley batting first scored 169 for 4 wickets. There was some fine batting from Apperley including two 6's from opening bat Lewis Hamilton & contributions from each player. Three players were clean bowled by Alex Payne, Will Elkington & young Sam Booth (a last minute call up as we only had 7 players). Will threw in a direct hit at the stumps to take the 4th wicket. Good bowling by all, particularly Jon Andrews 0-9 from 3 overs and Harry Booth 0-4 from 2 overs.  
Sam was too young to bat in an u13 match so Jon Andrews batted in the 1st and last pair scoring 23 & 18 with 7 boundaries. Ryan & Jon as the first pair had to face some quick & accurate bowling from Hamilton & Wilkes & did well to put on 28 runs with no loss of wickets. Pick of Apperley's bowlers were Wilkes 0-6, Samuel 1-5 and Llewelyn  0-5. It was good to see Canon Frome taking quick singles. Second highest score was from Will with 11 including two boundaries. As the last pairing of Emma & Jon went in the match could have gone either way but with some good shots from Jon and good defence from Emma the match ended with a bye and a win for Canon Frome.
