Well done to CFCC notching up another win against a strong Bartestree team who had a ten player side so it was agreed to play a 15 over match. Bartestree batted first making an impressive 268, losing just two wickets. Without some tight bowling and tidy fielding (two catches taken by David T. one behind the stumps and one off his own bowling) the Frome could have been chasing an even higher total.
Frome got off to a good start with Tom D. and WIlliam B. putting on 20 without loss. Then excellent consolidation from Henry A, and Charlie who lost one wicket . Ben D and Ben W then got ahead of the run rate putting on a further 10 for loss of one wicket before David T and Sam B really took the game away with 25 runs scored in their 3 overs without loss. With very cool heads Tom and brother Ben put on a further 14 runs without loss in the final 3 over pair to secure the victory by 11 runs. thanks to all; especially those players who had very little of the batting. Great concentration today, areas for improvement; running and calling.
As Hay did not show up CFCC were awarded the points so are now on 40 points.
