Under 11 XI vs. Ross-on-Wye - 19 May - More good match practice for the U11s. real improvements in all areas

A much improved bowling performance from Canon Frome saw them match Ross in the number of wickets taken as both sides took 8. Some promising performances were put in by some of the younger players with Ben Webb performing admirably in his first match keeping wicket, Charlie Cresswell producing his best bowling display so far taking three wickets and Will Brandreth impressing taking a wicket and only going for 19 off his 3 overs.

In the face of some remarkably fast looking bowling (one parent commented that he wouldn't have liked to have been out in the middle facing), Canon Frome struggled to get the ball away and the innings unfortunately never really got going. The team showed great spirit though, with both Sam Booth and the captain, Arthur Harris, managing to get their highest scores of the season.
