Under 13 XI vs. Brockhampton - 24 May - Lost by 6 wickets

CF batted first but did not start too well losing four wickets for 17 runs in 4 overs. We looked likely to be bowled out cheaply but the next couple of partnerships seemed to steady the listing ship. We added 20 runs for the 5th wicket between Marcus and Sam B (9) and the partnership for the 6th wicket had reached 55 and CF were going well and unbelievably we reached the 20th over! The last over, suddenly like a Gazelle, Marcus was off looking for runs in the last over, unfortunately he run Charlie out (22) and nearly run Harrison as well. From a shaky start we managed to get to 94 / 6 and could have picked up another 15 -20 runs if they boys had thought about using the gaps in the field.
Marcus 28 no, Charlie 22, Sam 10 and George 9.
In return BCC got their require runs in the 17th over, a reasonably tight match in the end. Our bowlers stuck to their task, helped with some strong fielding from Captain Joe and taking a good catch in the deep. Two good throws in from Tom R which resulted to two run outs and bowled two good overs on his first full cricket match.
