Under 15 XI vs. Colwall - 04 Jul - A tough match but only our second defeat this season

A challenging match for our U15s which tested their resilience and character to the full. In fact, we had more high scorers than Colwall with Olly Parker scoring 22, Arthur Harris scoring 22 and Tom Day scoring 45 not out! By contrast, Colwall only had two batsmen getting into double figures and one of those, their top scorer, will consider themselves very fortunate to be still at the crease at the end of the match.
Highlights for Canon Frome would have to be Tom Day’s 45 runs not out and taking a wicket with some tight bowling, Arthur Harris’ 22 runs plus a wicket and Olly Parker’s 22 runs followed by 2 consecutive wickets (nearly a hat-trick)! Another very positive development for our U15s is the addition to the team of George Daly who having tentatively admitted he “could bowl a bit” turns out to be our pace bowler launching missiles down the pitch at high velocity!
